Forster Rohner AG wins the LEADER Digital Award 2023

With its globally unique digital embroidery workflow, Forster Rohner AG wins the LEADER Digital Award 2023 in the "Business" category. "Forster Rohner has succeeded in an exemplary manner in thinking a traditional company into the future," praised the prominent jury.

Forster Rohner has revolutionized conventional processes in the lingerie industry with its digital embroidery workflow. Instead of physical patterns that took several weeks to produce, Forster Rohner's 3D department now develops 100 percent digital embroidery in just a few minutes. The team even drew on know-how from the gaming industry.

Three weeks become three minutes

Under the project name "three weeks become three minutes", Forster Rohner has developed a software based on its own idea. This software creates photorealistic images without ever having produced a physical sample. Customers can thus be presented with color and design adaptations within a very short time. In addition, customers' ditigal embroideries can be digitally processed in their own processes.

Innovation based on St.Gallen embroidery tradition

"With the digital embroidery workflow, we have developed an innovative solution that is less material intensive, reduces CO2 emissions and at the same time makes the process faster, more efficient and therefore also more cost-effective" says Elisheva Senn, Director Business Unit Lingerie. "We are overwhelmed to have won the LEADER Digital Award 2023 with our digital workflow, which is based on the heritage of the St.Gallen embroidery tradition" continues Senn.
